And create a story - John Deere's personal speedster? John Deere raced the car often? John Deere was forced to sell this open speedster because riding in it messed up his wife's hair? Have fun with...

Re: Can’t determine battery ground

Any car stored 40 years ago with a generator is probably still 6 volts.
Any car stored 40 years ago with an alternator is probably 12V.

Re: Replacing hydraulic brake lines

I heard the son was taking over the business and they were in the process of getting some new castings made for their trans adapters. I don't know about their brake parts.

Re: Used stock interiors… yeah.

The proper look for the story is vital. Each car or locomotive has a tale to tell. Over it's life there have been many memories they have created.

Re: Another carb needs repair

I'm of the camp not that it couldn't - or shouldn't be done - but why. Time and cost of the repair exceeds what I have seen good parts for at swap meets. Yes I've got the skill to do the fix and...

Re: Model A serial number verification

The original Ford number only appeared in 2 places. Both easily removed with a grinder. So removing a tag isn't an argument.

Re: Model A serial number verification

The manufacturers generate the VIN not the feds or states. The engine number on a Model A IS THE VIN. That is what Ford used to register them in every state and country.

States now want to see a...
