I used the stock jets the 390 Holley came with. My engine is 59 AB with .060 over, merc crank, 1.6 valves and a bit of a cam. All worked good and did not need to change them.

A good final cleaning with a high ammonia content cleaner and then Alodine to seal the pores. Most automotive paint stores sell a cleaner and the Alodine.

I always check the actual height of each spring with the valve installed on the seat and the spring retainer on the valve stem. you can do this with a small spring on the stem
to hold up the spring...

I have the Holley 390 on my Cabover. I used the Edelbrock intake. I do remember that it is a tight fit between the water necks on the heads. The Carb and intake work great and I have had no problems....

Check out Red's Headers. They sell valve train kits including new Scheider cam and one piece guides and hollow adjustable lifters, Zepher springs. Save money when combined in a kit.

I looked at one of my 35-36 frames and the transmission mount on the frame is different then the 37 frame. I learned something new about old Fords again!

I just double checked and the 37 mount is different. Part number 78-7085, Van Pelt Sales has a photo of it.
Apparently ford changed the frame mounting location? Or maybe your rear axel is moved...

I have an original Ford flatbed, it is 37 1/2" wide. I think it fits 1934 t0 1938 truck frames.

I am looking for the front bearing retainer for a Cadillac Laselle transmission. Also hub

Thanks for the tip. He did not have the motor mounts. But he listed an original Cadillac 331 bellhousing. Since I am installing a Laselle transmission, this was a rare and great find.
