Well! IF my tube axles were bored to use the 'wedge' type keepers, it would explain why Sid has seen them both ways, and why mine are bored 'large'.

Back to knurling pistons: I had Harry at Automotive Industrial Supplies knurl pistons in the '50s, '60s, and early '70s. Great oil holding, and 'refit'.

That's a Potvin Eliminator, all right. When Chuck Potvin moved his equipment into Dean Moon's shop, I called him for a Potvin Eliminator for my 304" flathead. (1983?)

Right side rail, directly between front and rear running board hangers. Toward the outside edge, above the radius.

Use the stainless with a suitable double-flaring tool, annealing the ends before flaring.
A butane torch (around $10 at Harbor Freight) will anneal stainless nicely.

Actually, the dent removal companies have some neat rollers and levers...sliding dollies...but when presented with 18-20 gauge steel, these guys simply state they can't do it!

Steering column lock is locked on my '47 Ford...(original key, just won't unlock any more)

Can I remove the mast jacket with the locked column drop in its locked position?

The T sheet metal sources have told me there are no more repro shells due to the elderly gent stopping production.
Is there another mfr? I have 3 cars that need them.
