rear slinger repair kit I have done a search but can find no info on who sells this repair kit . Appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction .

Re: rear slinger repair kit What is actually broken? The "slinger" is usually considered a portion of to crankshaft.
|
Re: rear slinger repair kit The slinger has been ground off . Would like to restore as original.

Re: rear slinger repair kit It would be possible to build up the missing slinger and re-machine it, but it would be much easier to get another crank if you want the original setup. The crank may have had a Burtz seal, available from the catalog vendors.

Re: rear slinger repair kit I think that Tom Wessenberg had the rear slinger replaced. I wouldn't have thought that it could be done. I'm not sure if the spelling or name is correct but I think the guys name was Rich Faluka, please forgive the spelling if wrong .

Re: rear slinger repair kit Thanks for the responses . I saw an article some where describing a repair kit/procedure in which you solder the slinger onto the crankshaft.

Re: rear slinger repair kit Actually his name is...Richard Fallucca DBA Antique Engine Rebuilding. Duffy, you can google Richs phone # and talk with him regarding your request. However, as stated your crank may have been modified to use Terry Burtz seal...to prevent oil leaks. I use Burtz seals and they do not leak. Good luck.

Re: rear slinger repair kit Thanks for the response folks . Will try another modern seal .Will advise what type engine builder uses.
