clutch slipping after new engine

Installed new inserted engine from Antique Engine and Snyder HC head. Absolutely happy after about 400 miles except clutch will slip when i "get on it" at about 30 mph. I replaced clutch disc and "inspected" the pressure plate.
Am I overlooking something obvious or is it new pressure plate time? Was looking at the new one listed in Snyders. Will this handle all my new "raging power˝?

Are you sure you have correct freeplay?

Maybe your new engine has too much horsepower!:D

Does the A clutch plate have an offset centre? I had a 64 Holden that ran fine until I went to take off uphill one day, the clutch slipped and wouldn't grab completely. I nursed it home, figuring the clutch was just worn out. When I got the plate out, the centre had almost been cut through. The centre is offset forward and rear, and it was installed the wrong way around, and I could still read the markings saying which side faces the flywheel. The previous person who installed the plate got it wrong.

Free play is adjusted properly. Never had slipping issue with old engine and worn disc.

Could be a number of things. The fingers need adjusting, springs are too weak or if the flywheel was surfaced it may not have had the recess for the pressure plate cut down to match what was removed from the face.
