John, if you don't mind me asking, what is the attraction of this modification? If my math is correct, you would be picking up about 4% to maybe 4½% more braking surface area, ...which doesn't seem like it would be worth the effort. Am I missing something?

I welded an arm to the brake cross shaft and intend to use a piece of chain or possible a cable to connect the original emergency brake lever.

Brent , i think you are possibly quite right given the mods required to do this .
I have 32 front brakes & they are a damn sight better than my old model A ones & thought i would like 32 all round .. Quickly coming round to your way of thinking though ! Thanks for confirming my doubts !
Thanks guys !

1935's are even better as they are wider than 32's. I did like Just Plain Bill did, now all 4 wheels are part of the parking system, the only problem is with the e-brake on the stop lights are on too, so a cut-off switch is necessary.

Jim B, Couldnt you use the park brake rod with the long slot in it from a early 28 AR,then you wouldnt need the cut-off switch?

Probably, but I didn't have one of those.
