help with my crank

Here are some pic's of the only bad spot I found in my lower end. The crank shaft is mint here. There is a small devit and a scruffy spot slightly discolored. If you scrape it with your fingernail it is slightly course, not bad. The divit is small but easily felt. The motor was rebuild, run for a few months and put up for 40+ years till now. All else is nice. Should I open the can of worms and go after this piece or put the bad boy together knowing it will have good oil to lube with?

Sorry... Your post title made me laugh....

"What you need is a little blue pill, not the FordBarn!" :D

Those look nice to me, and the bearing surface will be softer than the crank and will wear in. If it is truly a hardly run engine, you should be just fine.

Unless you are putting 10,000 miles a year on for the next 5 yrs or so,you likely wont live long enough to wear it out.Just make sure the brg clearance is right before you put it together.
