31 Victoria hinge removal from door
 

Hi All looking for advice on removing hinges from door side. Took passenger one off but not only had to drill the rivets but also had to chisel off the weld behind it. Is this normal or am I missing something?

Your are speaking of the door itself…..not the cowl pillar?
If door, yes, what you describe is normal. I do everything possible to not have to remove the door hinge attached to door. Has to be last resort.

Thanks that’s what I thought. I can’t believe they welded it from the back. Oh well I’m going to cut the door side off the bottom driver side. I drilled the pin out slightly off center and it won’t come out. What a pita.
