clutch adjustment

Probably this has been hashed over many times but I will add my two cents. I pulled my engine to check the clutch because I had to nearly push the pedal through the floor to get it to release. Upon checking, I don't think the last person knew how to adjust the fingers because they were not the same height by over nearly 1/8 of an inch and worn unevenly. The disk looks like it is brand new, so at some time in the past a new disk had been installed. The bolts are not graded bolts, if that makes a difference. So a new pressure plate is going in with a new throwout bearing, just in case.

If it is a V8 style the bolts should have a shoulder to center and locate the PP
The original just uses regular bolts.

I have heard about people messing with those fingers on the pressure-plate. I never touch them. I look over my part, and install it. My thought is leave that type of thing to someone that knows what they are doing. If a person starts messing with some things, they surely will end up with a mess.
