Is this a Model A handle?

This handle is stainless clad, handle part appears identical to coupe, tudor handle, the part that fits against the door is flat not curved like a coupe handle, the shaft is 1/2" longer that coupe handle, and no original model a key will go into the lock cylinder. It has a matching pair of keys(not briggs) and the handle and keys appear to be N.O.S. Also the lock cylinder is not removable.

Would this be a 1928-29 locking door handle ? The escutcheon would be flat. I don't know about the length. I don't believe that the lock cylinders are removable in '28-'29 models.

Tx for responses. A little more info: A crown key will not fit cylinder, by cylinder being nonremovable I meant it is not a late 31 cylinder, I ruled out 28-29 because it is stainless clad. chucker

Vince is right. Ford produced many replacement handles out of stainless using "current" production materials. When we find a NOS '28-29 outside handle which is nickel plated brass, it was actually made during that period. If it was a service item for a '28-29 vehicle made in late 1930 (or later) it will be stainless clad.
