Rear panhard bar stud Has anyone replaced the rear stud for the panhard bar ? If so , the best way to do it .
Thanks, Rick |

I would assume you are referring to a '46-48 rear end because vehicles earlier than 46 did not have panhard bars. |
Re: Rear panhard bar stud Yes, thank you

Re: Rear panhard bar stud Doesn’t it have a pin through it to secure it in the housing?

Re: Rear panhard bar stud Remove pin, heat perch with fire wrench, beat the piss out of the stud.

Re: Rear panhard bar stud Thanks guys, don’t see a pin but will look harder.

Re: Rear panhard bar stud The pix that Ken/Alabama posted in his reply to this thread clearly shows the shock mount on the diff housing. If the pin and/or mount are not clearly visible on the rear end, you possibly have two problems.. One: you don't have a '46-48 rear end or someone cut the mount off.
The oval headed pin that is shown in the pix is actually a large rivet that will require cutting the riveted head off of in order to drive the large rivet pin out and remove the shock stud. |
Re: Rear panhard bar stud Found the pin, thanks guys
