Torque tube bearing Race 3 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I cleaned up the NOS torque tube race I purchased and it has lots of pitting. My original has wear groves where the bearing cage rides. Which on is better to use or should I find a better one? This is a late 32 tube with no center bearing. |

Re: Torque tube bearing Race Don't gamble using a bad race even if it's supposedly NOS. Buy a new race and a new FORD made bearing with grease seal.

Re: Torque tube bearing Race It doesn't take much of pit to make noise. It's amazing how loud little pits can be. It's too much work not to do it right the first time.

Just pulled this out of another tube, no groves, not sure if the difference in color is wear?

Re: Torque tube bearing Race If possible, install each bearing you have in the tube and measure the ID of each.
