Pressure Plate release lever stiffness? Guys just mounted 39 tranny to fresh rebuild 59A, Weber flywheel. Rebuilt 9" clutch, pressure plate and new throw out. Slid pipe over clutch shaft arm and push forward but pressure plate release levers didn't budge after throw out made contact. Might supposed to be that stiff? I didn't want to push hard enough to damage anything. Appreciate your thoughts. Don't want to install and have to jerk back out.

Re: Pressure Plate release lever stiffness? I don't think it should be that hard to move. The fingers had to move as you tightened up the PP, can you watch thru the hole on top ?

Re: Pressure Plate release lever stiffness? How much force are you generating to do the job?

Re: Pressure Plate release lever stiffness? Correct 59A type pressure plate? Fingers not fouling the input or front snout?
Remove cover and have a good look. You need about a 2 ft long lever to do it without struggling. |
Re: Pressure Plate release lever stiffness? Are the fingers adjusted properly??
