Inlet restrictor diameter. for EAB oil filter
 

I have a stock oil filter canister. It is missing the inlet tee. What diameter should the restrictor be ? A friend told me .125. I found a broken brass tee with an electrical pressure/warning unit attached in a junk parts box I was given. The running leg of the tee diameter is .140. What is the correct diameter ?

Diameter should be about .060. You can solder a fitting and drill the correct size hole. I think Napa still lists the fitting.

I was looking for the same info. I think J actually had written the NAPA P/N down somewhere last year.

Correct. I found my hand sketch of the external oil plumbing and that is the P/N I hand jotted down as well.

I now remember going to the local NAPA store last year looking for the fitting. They didn’t have it and told me that the NAPA stores in Canada are different from those in the USA, and their “systems” are separate and do not communicate. Told me they deal with Fairview fittings, and if I could find it in their catalogue, then they could order it for me. Couldn’t find in in the Fairview catalogue. Started looking again, it it seems the Weatherhead/NAPA WH1512 is getting harder to source. Seems Danfoss has now acquired Weatherhead. Found a guy on eBay and an American site, but shipping was approaching US$25 plus. So, found this company in Canada. Ordered one (CAN$25.24!), but still waiting on shipping quote which is kinda weird.

Thanks to all for your help . I have modified my own fitting. I solder one leg tog a brass tee shut. Next I chucked it up in my lathe and drill that leg with a .062 bit.
