Trying to identify 59A style aluminum heads

2 Attachment(s)
I have a pair of early 24 stud aluminum heads. They both have the number
81 6050 49 on them. There is a small circle with a C in the middle on the top right and the number 140 on the top left. Any ideas what these were on?

81 denotes 1938...these fit the first of the 24 stud blocks. In order to fit them to the post war blocks [with the relocated valve positions] you'll need to clearance the eyebrows in the heads.

The other difference is the temp gauge fitting...originally these had the capillary style gauge, the heads are tapped 5/8 NF to suit. The later [59A] style heads used electric temp gauge; they are tapped 3/8 pipe thread for the senders.
