Trans fluid on driveway My transmission drips a couple tablespoons after a drive and seems to be coming from the "keeper/clip" in the back of transmission . Is there a way to stop the leaking??

Re: Trans fluid on driveway Are you sure it isn't engine oil from the rear main running down and dripping off the transmission?

Re: Trans fluid on driveway If ever rebuilding the trans might consider the O Ring style cluster and reverse gear shafts. Works well !

Re: Trans fluid on driveway Check to make sure the vent hole in the back of the shift tower is open, so that no pressure builds up in the transmission as it heats up.

Re: Trans fluid on driveway Do you mean the bolt and plate for the reverse idler and cluster shafts? If so the vendors sell a "seal" kit for them.
