panhard bushings

I bought the panhard bushings for my 47 coupe from macs (part number 64-15742) they are a bit wider than the bracket. Is this a part that gets smooshed into place I tried a few different ways but it seems to come out the same. Also what size bolt holds the bar to the bracket

I also bought those bushings from mac's and I had to cut them down to be able to fit them. I am thinking of making my own (casting urethane in a plaster mold. Also the bushings from mac's are to soft!

Check with energy suspension. They have all sorts of urethane bushings and you may find some that will fit. I recall that years ago I used some urethane bushings from a rod shop that fit a four bar front end that worked on the 42-48 sway bar.

Another thought, change over to rod ends.
