Flexible Fuel Line...

Who sells the best flexible fuel line ...?? I had trouble with the one I got ...
The trouble may have been the fitting that came with it ...The first three threads stripped right off ....I was switching back to an original pump from the electric with reg. Rubber hose....Thanks ahead of time ...I got this one from C&G,,it’s not their fault ,,,it wasn’t made by them ...Maybe just a fluke....

I purchased my flex fuel line from Denis Carpenter for my '46 Coupe. The part number is 18-9288-A for $9.95, and is shown in the catalogue to fit 33-48 pickups and cars. Also, DC also sells the clip that holds the steel line to the firewall, under P/N 18-9296, if you need one. Mine was left off when the previous owner installed a pressure regulator at the firewall.

If the threads strip, it is likely the hose was cross threaded, or that the threads were damaged on the line or the carb. Those fine threads, particularly if brass, are easy to cross thread if you didn't turn them in by hand before using the wrench.

That's who I would suggest as well. He offers them with and without a check valve. I've had one on my avatar 35 Fordor for the last 8 years.
