Signal lights I installed signal lights on my 1938 Ford Fordor Delux Sedan. All lights work but flash erratically . How do I fix this problem?

Re: Signal lights could it be an earth problem? I find a lot of electrical faults can be traced back to a bad earth.

Re: Signal lights Check all your grounds. Sounds like a classic example of poor grounding.

Re: Signal lights Are any of the bulbs LED?

Re: Signal lights I used a Napa flasher but my AV8 is 6 volt .

Re: Signal lights Sometimes it's the flasher. If it is 6v pos earth use the tridon/novita LL535 ...USA made and avoid the Chinese made silver tin can LL535

Re: Signal lights Some times the Bulbs are too small to activate the Flasher. Try a larger size.

Re: Signal lights The NAPA flashers are junk, they are transister style, you want a mechinal type that we used to get, get with Northwestern Auto parts in Grand Rapids Mi and ask for a mechinal they will work,I just went thru this on a 34 truck.

Re: Signal lights my setup is 12v but i had to get a heavy duty non-transistorized unit to make it flash correctly
|
Re: Signal lights Would you happen to know the exact name or part no. for the flasher and contact info for Northwestern Auto Parts?
|
Re: Signal lights Hi, I want to thank you for your advice to get a mechanical flasher from Northwestern Auto Parts. I purchased one, installed it and my signal lights work perfect. Thank you.
