wheel rim liners glue a bit, or no? Just got wheels painted. Put on new aftermarket rim liners, the rubber band effect is sort of weak and they can be shifted around fairly easy and sort of slide up the sides some.
They are 19 inch wheels, and the actual liners say 17/18 on them which considering they go in the dip might be OK? Are these supposed to have a little adhesive to hold them in place so the valve stem hole stays or am I just paranoid? The ones on the wheels before painting took work to get them off and acted like they were partially glued. thanks |

Re: wheel rim liners glue a bit, or no? I tried duct tape on 16" wheels, it was a mess when I removed the tires several years later. I then bought them for 19" wheels because that was all I could find. Cut and shortened them to fit, used no glue other than to shorten the liners, work great! Talcum powder is often used on tubes, after installing the liners.
