Re: bosch generator

Just check how the field coils are connected.
If one side goes to case and other to Field connection Fords Relay should work.
For the Bosch type on there take a look at beetle stuff.

Re: bosch generator

That looks like the one I got on a German flathead, which would make sense. Hard to tell from your photo, but mine was a very large unit, much bigger than what we are used to. Mine was 12V. Is your generator a big one or more normal sized?

Yeah, I know, I had to rewrite it twice so it didn't sound rude.

Re: bosch generator

130-12-2000 -----130 watt, 12 volt,2000 rpm --is it 2 brush, or 3 brush, how many terminals, ---without seeing how it is internally wired I can only guess based on other bosch generators I have worked on, most likely a regular USA Ford regulator won't work, the ford regulator puts power to the field, most Bosch units the regulator grounds the field
the "regulator" (from what can be seen in the pictures) looks like it is just a cutout, take the cover band off and see how many brushes

If it is 2 brush you need also to get a regulator for 130 watt
