Intake Manifold Swap When I got it, my ’37 had a 24 stud flathead that I believe was a ’48. It was not fixable, so I now have a ’37 221. Question is, would there be any advantage to using the ’48 intake (performance wise) on the ’37 block. I’m building it to drive, not show, although it is stock.

Re: Intake Manifold Swap Chris, There are just a couple differences to consider: One is the third hole (heat riser) in the 1937 carb mount, which is not compatible with the use of a 94 carb. The other is the diameter of the vacuum port for the Trico wiper motor.

Re: Intake Manifold Swap Ok, thanks Alan. As I have a 94 carb, I guess I'll work with the "48 intake.
