Re: who restores vacuum wipers? Maybe it doesn't need restoring. When the wiper on my '34 roadster quit I sprayed a little WD40 into it and it started working again. This happened around 10 years or so ago and it still works. It doesn't do a very good job though.

WD-40 is bad on potmetal, like the popout switch and wiper motors. It also messes up some plastics, like the divided plastic container I stored some bolts in, then sprayed them with WD-40 to prevent rust. |
