Re: Fire wall 1932 truck steve,
You should be able to find what you need in "The 1932 Ford Book" from the Early Ford V8 Club, https://www.earlyfordv8.org/Shop.cfm?id=15&pid=2 The pickup truck should have the same firewall as the passenger car. It will also contain answers to other questions that you didn't even know you had. Charlie Stephens |
Re: Fire wall 1932 truck I have those books 1, 2 They are great ,but i need more detail on the wall. thanks, steve

Re: Fire wall 1932 truck Please refer to the colored photos of the B engine compartment in Chapter 5. Between the two of them you'll see where everything is routed and/or attached.

Re: Fire wall 1932 truck Thanks,I have seen those pics and they are hard to see details in the book, dark, and they are more focused on engine rather than wall. Need a different angle straight at wall ,showing a little of the side of engine and more toward wall . sorry to be a pain .

Re: Fire wall 1932 truck Steve, I owned an original '32 pu a little over ten years ago that I had taken many pictures of. If you pm me your email address, I would send you any pictures I have of the firewall area.

Re: Fire wall 1932 truck I sent you a message to send pics, maybe you did not get it. e-mail [email protected]

Re: Fire wall 1932 truck if you tell me specifically what you need I can take pics. my wiring is no good, but anything else.

Re: Fire wall 1932 truck 2 Attachment(s)
Steve,
These might help, I've collected a lot of images for my work on my wagon. These are from a 32 woodie in Oregon. Keep V-8ing and 4-banging! |
Re: Fire wall 1932 truck With respect, if the objective is originality, there's a lot going on in those two photos that is misleading.
|
Re: Fire wall 1932 truck Thanks to all I think I got it figured out. there is alot going on and alot of holes. Anybody know what the clinch nut (5/16 fne thread) on the driver side fire wall is for ????? Thanks, Steve

Re: Fire wall 1932 truck 2 Attachment(s)
Do you mean the hole in the first picture that is located about 8 inches from where the never adopted vacuum was to be mounted? If no how about a picture. If yes I assume that it was for the vacuum operated clutch. The second photo shows the same threaded hole in a later firewall. DO NOT use these photos for other information as the cars are neither restored or original.
