36 radiator in correct position

1 Attachment(s)
Can anyone please post a photo of the top side mount where it attaches to the radiator? I had mine recored and I think the radiator is too high. It looks like it can go down 3/8" and my hood would fit better. Everything fit great before I had the work done. See photo....Thanks....

Thanks Gary, just what I need to show the guy. That bend in the mount needs to follow the tank, that's what I thought....

Comparing the two pix it is quite obvious that the guy that did the new radiator really screwed the side mount (s) up. It could be that the core in the new radiator is not correct.

That's what happened. I took it back and he's willing to correct it. Does someone have the measurement from the bottom of the mounting tab to the top tank crease? I can tell him that's what I need for it to be right....Thanks....

Looks like the core was cut a bit too long. Measure twice & cut once applies to that stuff too. The old Fords count on that stuff being right for all the front sheet metal to fit right. It doesn't just bolt to a core support like later ones.

Wouldn't you want the measurement from the bottom mount? The tank may or may not be in the original position.

Re: 36 radiator in correct position

I've talked to my radiator guy. He needs the measurement between the top and bottom "header" or between the tanks. If I could get a few measurements to verify that would be great. Thanks Guys/Gals for your help.....
