Late 1931 Model A Gas Tank Can a late 1931 style gas tank be installed in a 1930-31 car with
a straight firewall (not indented firewall) without damaging or affecting the straight firewall? Does the late 1931 tank outlet align up with the hole in the straight firewall used by the fuel bowl? Thank you. |

Re: Late 1931 Model A Gas Tank Joop,
Thank you for the excellent response. I looked at the Service Bulletin. Not wanting to put a 1 & 3/4'' hole in the firewall. Would you think that it's possible to make-up some kind of connection to fit from the late '31 tank outlet that would curve and go through the existing hole in the straight firewall (1 & 5/8" away where the glass fuel bowl mounted)? I realize that it wouldn't be original, but would a rubber type of gas hose work or something else? Thanks for the reply. |
Re: Late 1931 Model A Gas Tank Why ?? are you in need of a gas tank ? and you only have a late 31? if we knew what state you are in at least then someone might have a tank for ya to swap.
