we can only wish we had equipment like that....or access to someone who knew how to install it on an A

do I see some custom brackets going on there ?

deep dish wheel extenders that rest on the spokes so the heads clear the hub caps.

adjustable arms to grab the tires...

I'd guess that's a little more precise than my two yardsticks clamped together...;)

I see something is in the red! Is that the camber or toe?

I set it as best I could with a dubbie Gauge then put it on the rack.. It was approx a 1/4" toed out..
All steering & suspension compnents are tight...

Mitch, how much does spoke orientation matter on your set-up? Also, how much would a spoke need to be bent to affect a reading??

Since the rack does not have the program for a 1930 Model A I punched in a different car, it pulls up the specs for that car and that's why it's red....

I can still see what the readings are and adjust since I know what the specs are for the A

I can make a custom vehicle and enter the specs so I can use the bar graphs but I didn't do that yet

Brent
Nothing will affect the reading

You do a forward rolling compensation which is approx 4-6" onto the front turntables. That calculates any issues ,,bent wheels etc,,etc.. And compensates for it automatically. The heads do not even need to be centered on the wheels as that is compensated for also..just slap them on and clamp it to the tire treads

Pretty slick !

1/4" toed out. How did it handle ? Did you notice it ?

Is there a left camber problem ? Or, is it just a camera shot angle ?

Ben Hur would have be jealous of those fancy hub caps. Technology has sure brought us a long way, eh?

Re: Doing it the primitive way

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a "Dubbie Gauge"? I have a home-made curtain-rod gauge that I am pretty happy with, and appears to give me pretty accurate measurements.
