1932 Fuel Tank on Model A How do I install a NEW 1932 fuel tank on a Model A Pickup?
|
Re: 1932 Fuel Tank on Model A Why do you want to do that?

I think the pickup tank was under the bed in the '32 but since the A never came with a rear tank, any way you can mount it would be correct. |
Re: 1932 Fuel Tank on Model A It goes under the seat on a 32 pickup, then you will need a fuel pump.

Re: 1932 Fuel Tank on Model A Before you install a passenger '32 tank on a pickup check that you will have access to the fill neck.

Re: 1932 Fuel Tank on Model A Why do you want to move it? I think if I relocated it I would add saddle tanks between the frame and running board apron (available as a kit). Someone makes a kit to do what you are trying to do on Model A passenger cars that I assume would work on the trucks. Remember that Ford added reinforcements to their frame because the weight of the tank caused the frames crack. You would probably have better luck getting your answer on HAMB, http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/f...ssage-board.5/ , or reachable from the "Hot Roads and Customs" Forum on this site.

Re: 1932 Fuel Tank on Model A UNDERSEAT tanks are SCARY! Chiefs' friend burned to death, when he rolled his Old Dodge pickup.
