Model A water pump vs model B? Hey guys! OK I'm trying to figure if the model B three bolt water pump along with a model C head in a model A block provides better cooling than the model A water pump! Thought's about the size of the impellers and others things! Any appreciation will be welcome!

Re: Model A water pump vs model B? Definitely an enhancement. I have one and really like the added circulation.
I have to use a thermostat or it will push coolant out the overflow. My old pump wouldn't do that. Best make sure your radiator flows well. Good luck. |

Re: Model A water pump vs model B? I fitted a B model head and water pump years ago made no difference to temp
mind it ran fine with thermostat before and after |
Re: Model A water pump vs model B? Ok guys! Many thanks for the replies!
I think I can use a model A head and water pump! My C head have cracks and the stud holes were enlarged to 14.5 mm and in some the corrosion make a hole in there! And the pump is a 33-34 model! Not a model B 1932.... Enviado desde mi XT1068 mediante Tapatalk |
Re: Model A water pump vs model B? The 32 waterpump is functionaly the same as the A pump in where the pulleys line up, the later pumps are shorter
also when putting the A head on the B block there are 2 coolant holes in the block that the A head doesn't have that the head/gasket may not cover and should be plugged in the block when using the A head on the B block |
