The limited 31 before called fuerza limitada 31 was a category of automobile racing! Cars must be up to the 1931 model, 4 o 6 cylinder! Any brand! Great engines and car like the Buick Marcheti with 7 mains, Chrysler , continental, Chevrolet, Ford! And others!

I've never seen an engine like yours! It has a fuel pump located in the rear half of the engine, and a cam to match. Model A engines in the US had no fuel pump, B engines had a pump located in the front half of the engine! Is this an Argentine-built block???

Jim! My thoughts is the hole for the fuel pump was maded by the guy! In Argentina model A was RHD! Maybe for that reason de camshaft have the lobe in that position!

Was the hole for the 'fuel pump' on the back of the block used for an external oil pump instead???

Yes I think! This category of automobile racing only allow cars to the 1931 year, any brand! Not later models, so a 1932 model B block wasn't an option! I don't know the rules over engine modifications! I bought the engine in parts, it's supposed that some ten years ago the car was entire with the mechanicals parts to!
If you think about the seventies in my country, they would be some speed parts or compression heads available from the US?
Well this guy managed to build up this engine with a model C head and a 33-34 water pump! Well there's a problem with that pump, just a one inch short! So again I trying to figure if the pump was an original part of the original engine! Would have a modified fun to align?
