'29 Firewall

Could a '29 Coupe owner post a picture of a stock (or nearly so) firewall.?
ie.. vacuum line fitting, speedo grommet, etc.. I think I have some "extra" holes.!!

Thanks.. kb

You might have better response if you posted a picture of yours with the holes you are concerned about. Put pieces of tape with numbers next the holes you are concerned about.

Here is a picture of the firewall of my 29 phaeton. I am pretty sure the holes in it are only Ford punched. I believe the vacuum line hole is in the lower right corner of the gas tank front sheetmetal (second picture). The second picture is the gas tank for my 29 CCPU that doesn't use a vacuum wiper, as pickups use manual wipers. Normally there are extra holes including a crudely made manifold heater hole about 2" or 2 1/2" in diameter on the passenger side. Hope this helps.

I had posted pictures of my 28 firewall, but can't find them now.
Here's a link to another of Rusty's firewalls.

Re: '29 Firewall

You have 2 holes that weren't factory punched. In the grouping of 3 holes on the passenger side the only hole that should be there is the one that looks like a D, directly above the choke hole. A D nut (10-32) should be installed in the hole for a small clamp to secure the speedometer cable I believe. The D nut should be installed from the outside, unlike the one on the drivers side that is installed from the inside.
