Flywheel Removal
 

Hi Guys ! I have a 9" clutch behind a 59 AB . Can I remove the flywheel without dropping the oil pan :confused: Thanks in advance ! - FF

It's the flywheel itself that will not clear.

Look at it as an opportunity to put a new pan gasket on!

The answer would be no....UNLESS....you were lucky enough to have a two piece oil pan that was originally used on trucks. The rear piece, under the flywheel is removable, allowing access to the clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel.
