Need Help...No cone in front Wheel Cylinder to seat hose fitting

I am installing my front wheel cylinders (39-41 Lincoln) and there is no little cone down in the hole for the brake hose taper to seat against??? I read a post on another site that said you can buy the little cone and put it in but both of my local parts stores can't find anything. Can I buy just the cone? What is the proper name for it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Contact these folks. Their website says 32 to 38 but they are extremely knowledgeable.

I'm no expert on Lincoln brakes, but some wheel cylinders do not have the seat(cone) in them. On some the hose seats down on a copper washer on the outer flat surface of the cylinder. F-100 brakes are an example.

Another knowledgeable source is: Brake Hosees Unlimited. Ask for Nick. Super helpful and very reasonable.

I don't believe any front wheel cylinder relies on a tapered seat for a seal.
The hose will use a copper washer to make the seal.

Yep, that's all I recall on the front brakes.

I just redid the entire brakes on my 35 with 39 brakes. As mentioned above, the seal on the front cylinders is made with copper washers between the flex line and wheel cylinders. No hard line there to need a seat. I'm not using Lincoln brakes but if you aren't running a hard line into the cylinder I see no reason to need that seat.

You are correct.
