Speedometer/odometer/trip meter
 

Everything works on mine except the trip meter. The reset shaft won't push in and the trip meter doesn't advance.
Is there a written procedure for fixing this anywhere or should I just leave it alone.

It's not hard to remove the cover and lens so you can see what's keeping the knob from pushing back in. I don't know if it can cause damage by moving the knob while the car is moving, but I only reset the miles while at a stop.

Thanks Tom. I found the article by Mr. Fischer on restoring the speedo. I'll give it a try.
