Project unkown.. 30 CCPU vacuum wiper I either don't have the right Trico vacuum windshield wiper or I might have the wrong windshield frame. The holes in the frame don't match the wiper I have. So, a request from 30 CCPU owners..
Could you post close-up images of your wiper installation? Most appreciated! Yes, I have Marco's drawing. Larry |
Re: Project unkown.. 30 CCPU vacuum wiper I'm pretty sure all commercial vehicles, including the pickups, had a hand operated wiper.

Re: Project unkown.. 30 CCPU vacuum wiper Is there a sorta "fits all" electric wiper for my June '29 Coupe?

Re: Project unkown.. 30 CCPU vacuum wiper Forget the wiper. Get some RainEX.

Re: Project unkown.. 30 CCPU vacuum wiper Not to deter Larry with his vacuum wiper project, reminds me of a crazy idea of installing one in my Double A, memories from years ago of hearing that rhythmic flip flop noise was a facination that was drawing me to a project I would have regretted, however I saw that some cutting, carving and drilling was in order so I ditched that idea, so RainEx it is.

Re: Project unkown.. 30 CCPU vacuum wiper My 29 Tudor came with a red plastic wiper motor that is a "fits all" type as used on Cushman Trucksters, and maybe later Jeeps and golf carts with windshields. As I recall, it's made by EA Laboratories.

Re: Project unkown.. 30 CCPU vacuum wiper I had a similar issue with a wiper motor that someone gave me a few months ago. The motor worked after I rebuilt it, but it just wouldn't mount to the frame. Come to find out, it was an after market replacement for a 31 Chevy coupe! (If any one knows someone with a 31 Chevy coupe, they are more than welcome to have the wiper motor).

Re: Project unkown.. 30 CCPU vacuum wiper I like your Model AA doodlebug with the new white plow. I spent the morning plowing snow with my Original Cub Cadet and a newly painted white blade. I knew after I sanded the rust off and used epoxy paint on the blade the snow would roll off the blade much better, but it works so much better than I expected, that now that I don't even mind snowplowing.

Re: Project unkown.. 30 CCPU vacuum wiper Thanks Tom!
The plow is an original 1930 era "road king" rig. It has the shock bars that run under the frame. I have never been able to find any info on the plow, but the brass plate on the plow itself is pristine for its age. Sorry to hear that you had to plow, but at least you had fun in the snow? |

Spray the blade with "PAM"--I use it under the clean deck of my rotary mower, to keep the grass from sticking. Armor-All works, also. Those 2 products are great to "mist" your undercarriage & under the fenders, before a LOOOONG tour, for quick/easy clean up, afterwards. Ray used to spray the front of his old Chebby Truck & the front of his trailer with "PAM", for EASY BUG REMOVAL, after his trip. Bill W. |
