'34 pickup blocks under cab assembling a '34 cab from pieces. How should it be blocked/positioned to get the doors aligned right. No frame right now to use.

Re: '34 pickup blocks under cab A line the top of the doors first ,you may need to rack the opening ,then aline the hinge side next ,then the shut side .weld or bolt a x frame on the inside of door openings .Ted

I took this picture off the web a while back. You can see the wooden blocks that rest on antisqueak pads (not shown in this picture) on the frame. The antisqueak pads are typically 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Hope this helps.

Re: '34 pickup blocks under cab Hi all; Some wood kits copied old shrunken original wood blocks. Be prepared to add spacer pads if necessary to keep cab above the frame. Without a frame it is tricky to get a good door fit. Newc
