Re: '28 AA question

All 1928 cowl sections were the same for the most part with the exception of the early Fordor Sedan which had an air vent on the cowl itself.

Go for it.

Re: '28 AA question

Steve is correct, except for the Fordor Sedan, all A and AA bodies used the same cowl for 1928 and 1929. This also applies to an A or AA chassis only setups. I don't know about the 1930/1931 cowl.

Re: '28 AA question

What do you call the trim line that curves down the side of the 28 and 29 cowls?
That part is different between open and closed cars.

Tom,
I am guessing that you are referring to the door hinge pillars? I think Ford's name is "coupe pillar".

An A or AA which was sold as a chassis included the gas tank, cowl, hood, radiator, front fenders.

I take it that part wasn't part of the packege in question then, correct?

I never paid much attention to the basic truck chassis purchase, but thought it would have included the windshield posts.

An A or AA chassis included the same parts for 1927 thru 1929. And most likely this is true of 1930 thru 1931.

Attached is the typical AA chassis as it rolled off the assembly line.
