Brake rod anti rattle springs Hello Folks, I have a newbie question regarding the brake rod anti rattle springs.
When installed, is the therory that springs put tension on the rods, pushing the rear rods to the back end and on the front rods the springs push to the front? I'll be installing the wire type springs. Thank you for your help! |

Re: Brake rod anti rattle springs Also, the front springs mount on the front side of the frame bracket, and the rear springs mount on the rear side.

Re: Brake rod anti rattle springs In my experience, the wire type springs work a lot better then the flat ones.
The flat ones seem to lose their springiness. Doug |
Re: Brake rod anti rattle springs I also prefer the 1931 style wire springs and they do work better.

Re: Brake rod anti rattle springs in my recollection, this was a reproduction item that for a long time suffered from the typical repro malaise. I used the wire types from out of the gate.
