I went through my pictures and don't have any detailed shots showing the cab to frame and the bed to frame wood and bolts.

Can't recall the specifics of it but it was fairly straight forward. The bed was the easiest. Think it is held in place by four bolts; two on each side.

Bratton's has a good diagram of the placement and orientation of the body blocks in their catalog. If you don't have a copy, call them up and they'll send you one. The Kit is $31.

When you get all the info gathered, take pictures of your progress step-by-step, then write the book. :)

Re: Pickup help 1930-31 wood placement body &bed

I just finished a roadster PU. Not sure if the closed PU is the same. THere are 3 pieces of wood per side, under the body. One block has the two holes that goes toward the front, behind the firewall bolt hole (no wood under that, just washers). If I remember correctly this block slides in place. The second one goes perpendicular to the frame, inside the subframe channel. The third one back is a short, narrow block that I think went perpendicular to the frame as well.
Like I said this is an open pick up and may be very different than a closed. Good luck.
