what would Henry do

Just about finished with a nut and bolt restore of a '30 CCPU.

As I worked on the old girl I often thought if back when you did something to make Henry mad where would he put you on the assembly line.
My vote is rear window installer on the closed cab pickup line, what a task that was.
whats your thoughts?

He would take you off the assembly line and send you to the pouring and shakeout lines in the iron foundry.

Would be a better job than rear window installer on C/C pickups in '30-'31
That was one thing that was definately 'over engineered'

Never figured out WHY they used 24 bolts to install ONE window, and they used the same window and frame all the way thru 1931 on all closed cab pickups.

Do you resort to a cut off wheel on a die grinder for removal if they won't respond to a screwdriver????? Bob

Henry was a famous practical joker. Betcha he'd give you a nice, clean, easy job like installing the taillight, but give you only Vintique parts and hardware til you went mad! :)

Took nearly a day to install one recently in a steel top 31 so I know what you're talking about. After all that work I looked the next day and the glass had cracked. Apparently there was a twist in the cab roof that put a strain on the glass. I ended up using a piece of lexan.
