That's really sharp. About fifteen years ago, here in Tampa, I saw a 1939 Ford Truck (one ton I think) with a camper body that looked very much like the one on the '37. As I recall, the top actually cranked up (all four corners at the same time) and there were screens in wood frames that fit in the openings. the truck camper also had a small "potbelly" stove, two burner cook top and small oven.

In Yuma, Arizona there is a Model A House car that is as complete a unit as todays motorhomes. Not as modern, but it had all of the basics. It is in the Model T museum in Yma, AZ.. The guy that has the museum has 118 runable Model T's sitting on blocks. It's all outside and extremely interesting. He said that he thinks the House Car is a factory built item. He has owned it for years.

one of these 37 60hp house cars was on ebay for sale just a few years ago , I think it had a buy it now of $40,000 . not exactly sure of $ but I think it was that much .It did not sell . It was low mileage & stunning inside & out.

This sounds very much like the one owned by Mark Marcase of Glendora, NJ who died around that time but I think he had sold it. He bought it at an estate auction in Philadelphia,I think. He used to take it to Carlisle and vend out of it.

I would love to see that Model A house car. I have an old Tudor cowl in need of a good project. I’ll bet I could find an AA chassis for cheap as well...

Visibility? In the old days all you had for rearview mirrows were those little round mirrows like you see on the truck. When the "west coast mirrows" became widely available in aftermarket shops around the late fifties, they were a great improvement. I still have one on a 48 F6, sure made a difference.
