Threaded 'VS' welded steering arm balls

I have a pair of 32 spindles with out balls on them, and the holes at the end of the arms are tapered for a threaded ball - much the same as a typical,

but later tie rod end. Does anyone know where I can locate "threaded"
ball studs for these? I looked at Brattons and Snyders, but all they list
in their catalogs are the welded in studs. Thanks, Steve

I got NOS ones from Fred at Southside Obsolete. http://www.southsideobsolete.com/Sou...e/Welcome.html
He goes by Barnfind08 on the early V8 forum.
I read that the taper on some of the new ones are not correct.

Hello Steve,
I was in the same boat until I found a pair of spindles that looked like new, searched-high low and found them at CW Ford, Orange County Ca. (800) 322-1932.
I just ordered a pair, dont forget to order the nuts if you dont have any.
Have a nice day Brian.

Heck, forgot all about California being 2 hours behind us back here - just ordered the parts I needed and they're on the way!
Thanks for the help.

The taper problem was fixed long ago I gather. The Macs ones are USA made and the correct iron oxide finish and hopefully hardened.
I've got 32 guts in my RHD two tooth.
