I did my own interior too.
Most expensive part was buying the refigarator to make the door panels I needed the box you see... |

I know its not a Model A but here is a really nice 51 ford woodie wagon the guy that owns the car did the upholstery and the whole car himself, it just goes to show you that if you put your mind to it anything is possible, my dad did the woodgraining its a 2 tone curly maple on top ribbon mahogany on bottom enjoy:cool:

Re: New Upholstery You should save the patterns and sell copies. I too am doing an interior from scratch. I too am a former Funeral Director. We both know where we learned to hand stitch. LOL.

Re: New Upholstery What a fantastic job! I'm sure your experience as an upholsterer didn't hurt. Except for the front seats, my 29 Tudor came without an interior. Current plan is to buy a kit from LB or Classtique and take a shot at doing the install myself. I do plan on having a local shop install the headliner. I feel that a poor job there will show the most.
