    Biography
My grandfather was a real clever guy. He put a model A crank in his model T. He was the first to market a successful high compression aluminum head for the Model T. He was a pattern maker by trade and started his own foundry. He bought my '29 Roadster when my dad was 14. That would have been about 1962. Dad used to drive it on an old dirt road through the woods on Cape Cod. It was dad's first car when he got his license. Later he took it with him to college, where he met my mom. Now we have dad set up with his dream car, the '36 cabriolet (see my avatar), and he has handed the A down to me. Grandpa died when I was only 3 years old, but grandma kept the Model T's running and used to take me with her on club runs. That's how I caught the fever. I thank God for all the ingenuity, hard work, and courage my family showed over the years. Fortunately I still have mom and dad. Grandma passed a few years ago. It's amazing how a life well-lived continues to make a difference decad

My grandma used to tell this story when she took me for a ride in her 1915 Model T Touring: "I didn't want to learn to drive the T, but your grandpa made me. We would be driving along and he would stand up at the wheel and say 'Get your a&& over here, you're driving'. What could I do? I slid over to the driver's side and took the wheel! I was afraid, but he made me do it. He made me strong".
