Re: $800,000 1947 Ford Truck:
The story on that pickup has been floating around the net for a number of years.
It is a very nice, highly modified, and customized '47 pickup. It may have had some rare options when it left the factory, but I doubt if Ford or Anyone paid the sum of $800,000.00 fot it..... If that is the truth, then I have a really nice bridge over in the UK, I would be willing to sell them, and bargain priced, that ONLY the buyer of that pickup would understand. I think someone's ZERO key got stuck on, when they were listing the price of that thing. .

Re: $800,000 1947 Ford Truck:
Are we sure this wasn't posted on April 1st?
I find it difficult to believe Ford would be intersted in such a highly modifed truck. And the price makes no sense whatsoever, even for a museum quality original piece. Perhaps the Henry Ford Museum would have been interested. $800,000 plus a new F350 dually? Really? I doubt it. For that price I hope they got the cheesy little model car sitting on the air cleaner. But if its on the Internets and the Whirl While Web it must be true!!

Re: $800,000 1947 Ford Truck:
live about 50 miles from Whitby. Have seen the truck in question. beautiful machine. there are as many stories about it as it has options. if i recall correctly, the owner had a magazine with a Ford add that showed the supercharger but i do not recall the add showing the other engine mods. Don't know if anybody ever authinticated the magazine and the add as being genuine.
