1931 Gas Tank...BEFORE THE INDENTED FIREWALL TANK...
Does anyone have a 1931 gas tank, before the Indented Firewall Tank, that DOES NOT have the upper steering column bracket riveted to the tank itself?
This would be what FORD refered to as "A-9002-D: Cowl Tank Assembly". I need some photos of that tank if possible. There has to be at least one out there as they were used but a short period of time. Thank You. Pluck |

I got one for you. I'll try and post some pix before I leave. I'm leaving in a couple hours for Tuson. If you don't find another one I'll be back next week. I live on the wet side in Washington so delivery shouldn't be any problem.

Here's some pix. If you don't need the tank and only want pix then I can send some better ones after I return. These were quickies because of time constraints.

That is very interesting. Theoretically this is the latest flat firewall tank. However it has the earlier top skin without the full bead for the cowl band!
