I have a 29 Ford roadster with a 51 flathead 8 and a Ford C4 trans. Does the stock speedometer work well with the C4 or would the work and expense be a waste of time and money ? Gauge space for me is a bit of premium as I am using the stock A gas tank.

The stock speedometer will be fine, as long as you don't go over 80! This speedometer is geared 1000 rpm= 60 mph just like a modern speedo.
