Default transmission vent?

My transmission was rebuilt two years ago and it leaks from the seals. I was told there is a vent hole near the top of the unit. I am looking but I do not see any vent hole but I also do not know what size hole I am looking for. Any suggestions?

You'll probably need to remove your floor board as the hole is on the back side of the tower about even with the middle of the board. Hole is about the diameter of a ball point pen refill tube.

Dave and CJ5, I found it. Thank you. It was clear. There is a fair amount of misted oil on the top area of the tranny. It appears to have come from this hole, although I assume this is normal.

Ditto Bob C's comment re the transmission may be overfilled. Remove the fill plug on the right side of the transmission. If oil flows out, the transmission is overfilled.

If you opt to drain the oil from the transmission, it holds 1 pint of gear oil such as SAE 85-145 GL5.
