Default 1932 Model B Tudor closed top material

I am working with a Model A supplier of closed top roof material and he would like a name or picture of the vinyl replacement top material used on the ‘32 Model B. I took a picture of my old top material but it’s pretty deteriorated and he could not determine what material would match from it. Does anyone have a good picture of the replacement vinyl material. He said if he could have a picture with a ruler placed on the material, or a name, he would be able to cross reference it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There were two different materials used originally. One was long-short copra grain and was used previously on Model As, which your supplier should be familiar with.

I personally think the short grain Cobra pictured here is the better looking of the two. However, my supplier says he can no longer get it. Due to lack of choices, I put Mercedes Haartz cloth on my last build.
I ordered some from Eckler's/MAC's last year and was disappointed with the quality. It had cotton batting bonded to it's underside.
Here are links to pictures of both the LONG and SHORT Grain Cobra vinyl- which are both Out Of Stock.

The long grain material in 65" width is available from the Model A supplier, Snyder's in Ohio, either just the material or in kit form.

Does length of storage time/age affect the longevity of the top material? Some of these upholstery supply shops may of had the top material a long time.

It is best to get what you can, when you can. You may not have another chance in the future.

If it is rolled and not folded, kept out of sunlight, and stored in a climate controlled environment, it will stay as new for decades. Even the original pyroxylin artificial leather will stay usable for decades if kept under the right conditions.
.

The roof covering on my avatar station wagon is from a roll of original pyroxylin material that was likely at least fifty years old when I used it.
