Default 36 oil pressure gauge test.

How do I check electrically a 36 oil pressure gauge to see if it is working?

I use the 9V batt from the smoke detector and alligator clips on the wires.Easier to access by taking the speedometer out .First clip the wires on the terminals of the gauge. Then touch the wires to the batt.If the needle doesn't move -switch the wires on the batt terminals as it was working in reverse. If needle still doesn't move the gauge needs to be removed and sent for repair.
You only need to touch the wires on the batt terminals momentarily to see if the needle moves.I usually do only 1 cycle .When needle reaches the top(F) then remove the wire.
